This year’s Venice Biennale welcomes eight Middle Eastern Pavilions – the largest number that the 110 year-old institution has witnessed to date, not to mention a number of parallel collateral events. Participating galleries at Art Dubai noted the sale of works to new collections, which brought us to continue our yearly Young Collectors feature in this issue: edition V with 10 protagonists whose institutional aspirations for their collections are admirable. In addition, we preview Ibrahim El Salahi, the first show on African Modernism and review this season’s auction sales. We also visit Sabrina Amrani gallery in Madrid and profile Ali Kazma, Mohammed Kazem and Larissa Sansour.
