Issue 7-3

In our third edition of The Cutting Edge issue we look forward to the 54th Venice Biennale and preview the expanding Middle Eastern presence we can look forward to this year. Also exciting is a collaboration between Amsterdam’s Riksmuseum and Doha’s Museum of Islamic Art which bring 44 works by 17th-century Dutch masters to Qatar and another incredible discovery was the Greenbox Museum in Amsterdam dedicated to contemporary Saudi Arabian art. In our art patron section we turn to Lebanon once again to meet Maya Rasamny and discuss her diverse work in art and culture. Other profiles include the non-profit Beirut Art Center and artists Bita Fayyazi, Ramazan Bayrakoğlu, Tala Madani and Diana Al-Hadid.
