Our Young Collectors feature is back for the sixth edition and Canvas travels to Baku to discover the city’s cultural activities. In addition, we review the Fotofest Biennial for its 15th edition with a focus on the Arab world and Doha for its stellar shows by Richard Serra and Etel Adnan. Galerie Imane Farès shows an impressive contingent of regional artists and in addition our profiles this issue include Sarkis’s interplay of light and dark, depictions of whimsical scenarios by Fayçal Baghriche, recollecting history through Maha Malluh’s body of work plus the sixth young collectors feature.
