We celebrate the third edition of The Power 50 annual survey highlighting the most powerful people in the Middle Eastern art scene. Our gallery feature this issue looks at Galleria Continua with its spaces in San Gimignano, Beijing and Les Moulins. Art Dubai’s eighth installment boasts with 85 galleries and expanded programming and we look forward to Design Days Dubai who welcome 34 galleries for their third edition. In addition, Canvas reviews include 21,39 Jeddah Art Week, Mona Hatoum’s retrospective in Doha, Hiwar in celebration of 25 years of Amman’s Darat Al-Funun and Singapore Art Week. We also look at Kamrooz Aram’s exploration of belief systems, Bouchra Khalili’s multimedia works on identity, transience and immigration and Basim Magdy’s narratives free of the constraints of time and space.
